Reviews and Ratings
The hotel's rooms were well-stocked with amenities and beautifully decorated in keeping with the building, although the noise level at times was a bit noticeable. The service went above and beyond to assist with various needs, like booking cabs and retrieving forgotten items, but there were instances of staff prioritizing personal matters over guest service. The location offered a lovely atmosphere with outside dining spaces leading down to the waterside, complemented by charming sea views. The dining experience varied, with some highlights but also some disappointments. Overall, a pleasant stay with some room for improvement.
The hotel offers stately and magnificent rooms with stunning bathrooms, but it may not be the best choice for guests with disabilities due to accessibility challenges. The service is exceptionally friendly and welcoming, catering to guests' needs even in the early hours. The location is perfect, boasting a great restaurant and beer/gin garden, but guests with mobility issues should double-check room accessibility. The dining experience is generally good, although some dishes might arrive less than satisfactory. Overall, a luxurious stay with some minor drawbacks.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The room, although clean and nicely decorated, felt a bit small with a tiny double bed almost touching the wall. I felt the price was too high for what we got, and we wouldn't have stayed if we hadn't prepaid a non-refundable rate online. On the bright side, the service was attentive and caring, with staff going out of their way to make us feel welcome. The location, right on the beach in Yarmouth, was superb, but the dining experience was a bit of a letdown with limited options.
